About Us

The founders of Merchant IMS hold advanced degrees in accounting, computer science, and mathematics. This gives them the unique ability to bridge the gap between technical computer jargon and common English. We understand all facets of our customers issues and have the means to solve them.

Our founders have owned several companies throughout years. Having been on both sides of a retail transaction, the founders have a strong grasp for the challenges our clients face. We have been creating retail software for 16 years and have led the design and development of award winning applications for point of sale, ecommerce and back office.

Our executive team members have spent time on various industry boards and committees including Microsoft's ActiveStore retail standards committee. That group paved the way for retailers and vendors to integrate applications and exchange data over legacy and emerging web based platforms. Merchant IMS executives have been guest speakers at universities, retail conferences, user groups, and trade shows. All of these experiences translate into to a competent team who can solve problems inside and outside "the box".
